Natural inclination 2023 once again presents itself as an opportunity to reflect on the global environmental crisis on our planet and the urgency of building new models of coexistence and interaction of all forms of life on the planet.
From the world of the garden, a utopian and real space of alliances and of ethical and aesthetic, biological and social resistance, and an enchanted place of species mixing, comes a powerful message.
Indeed, the garden is by its very nature a welcoming habitat for all living beings, inviting us to rediscover and mend the relationships broken by the individualistic attitude of our species, creator and victim at the same time of what has been called a true ‘anthropocentric trap’.
We must inhabit the Earth in a different way, looking at all living things, including ourselves, with a different perspective that illuminates interdependencies by shifting the focus from subjects to relationships, with updated points of view to contaminate our gaze with that of other living beings and bring us closer to the feeling of other species.
This is what will be discussed in the three appointments (+ one) scheduled, entrusted as always to different stories and languages, which can help us rethink ourselves through the garden and refresh our imagination, which appears clouded by a widespread narration of the Anthropocene that is very often depressing. To reason instead, passionately, each for his or her part, about the necessary radical and revolutionary turnaround in thought and action, which really can no longer be postponed, for the Earth and (all) its inhabitants.
