Together. For a poetic inhabitation of our planet

If only twenty years ago the European Landscape Convention finally opened the season of the landscape of people and communities, placed at the centre of a scene that no longer demands to be contemplated but has to be consciously experienced, today another equally radical turning point appears necessary, of thought and action, theories and practices, this time in the direction of overcoming species boundaries.

Thinking differently about the relationships between living beings in order to share the Earth with all the life forms that inhabit it entails the need to also renew our idea of a project for an environment that can no longer be thought of exclusively as human, let alone based on a dialectic, the man-nature dialectic, which has revealed itself in all its weakness.

It would be a matter, as many have said, of poetically inhabiting the Earth, and to do so, relying once again on the cultural heritage of Ippolito Pizzetti, we can start from the garden, the natural and welcoming habitat of all living beings; the utopian and real space of alliances and aesthetic, biological, social resistance; the enchanted place of the mixing of species where we humans too can find our place in the world.
