The garden design, between memory and a look to the future

edition 2018

Since its first edition in 2011, the Naturale inclinazione series of late summer meetings has been inspired by the figure of Ippolito Pizzetti (1926-2007) and his tireless commitment to spreading the culture and art of gardening, a poetic act rich in ethical and social significance.

The garden that Pizzetti loved is a welcoming place, ideally open even when enclosed by a fence. It is a place where we can satisfy our need for nature, beauty, harmony and balance, and where traces of the past can shape the demands of the present, guiding the creativity of the designer and the care of the gardener.

The events in this edition invite us, through different situations, stories and languages, to reflect on the world of gardens based precisely on the relationship between past and present, and on the importance of continuous dialogue between memory and creativity, nostalgia and innovation.
