Workshop

Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche organises an international workshop every year, open to young designers with a second-cycle degree or equivalent, interested in interdisciplinary team work, who are selected through a call for applications published on this website and circulated among major universities and relevant institutions.

Last edition

23-26 June 2026

Lungo il fiume Sile

Generally initiated by local citizens and associations, the workshops aim to provide an opportunity for collective and forward-looking reflection on a place, encouraging dialogue among the various stakeholders to define management guidelines and concrete actions. Their aim is to protect and promote appreciation of the places while improving the well-being and quality of life of the local residents.

A team effort is set up, bringing together a variety of professional skills and expertise, involving residents and administrators, and offering wide scope for research and experimentation, under the guidance of widely respected scholars and experienced tutors.
In line with the principles of the European Landscape Convention and with the aims of the Foundation’s scientific work, the main focus is on “ordinary landscapes” and the places where people’s daily lives unfold, from the living spaces to work activities to leisure time.
The last two editions were organised in collaboration with the Master’s Degree Course Landscape and Garden of the IUAV University of Venice, as an integral part of the teaching programme, in the academic years 2020/2021 and 2021/2022.
