The title Naturale inclinazione refers to Ippolito Pizzetti (1926-2007), an enlightened landscape and garden designer, a man of culture and nature, anunforgettable key figure for the Foundation’s scientific work on these themes since its inception.

The unusual human, artistic and intellectual events that led him from the literary world to becoming a charismatic authority in the field of nature and landscape were recounted by Pizzetti himself in the foreword to Pollice Verde (December 1981-March 1982), and then in Naturale inclinazione, the collection of his writings formerly published in the online magazine “Golem” and first edited as a book in 2006 (pp. 1-6).
