public ceremony for presentation of the Carlo Scarpa Prize

Speakers: Vigdís Finnbogadóttir (President of the Republic of Iceland from 1980 to 1996), Brynjólfur Jónsson (Chairman of the Skruður Foundation), Aðalsteinn Eiríksson (Secretary of the Skruður Foundation), Daníel Jakobsson (Mayor of Ísafjarðarbær).

The proceedings are introduced and coordinated by Domenico Luciani (International Carlo Scarpa Prize for Gardens).

The ceremony will include projections and musical interludes (Icelandic rímur) by Steindór Andersen andHilmar Örn Hilmarsson, the reading of the Jury Report and the presentation of the award seal, designed by Carlo Scarpa, to the Framkvæmdasjóður Skrúðs/Skrúður Foundation, the body now responsible for the place.

Proceedings will open with the distribution to all members of the audience of the dossier Skrúður, Núpur, edited by Patrizia Boschiero, Luigi Latini and Domenico Luciani, and will conclude with refreshments.
